Children need to feel good about themselves. While Christianity tells them that they are born sinful, the Bahá'í Writings proclaim them to be noble creatures of God, crowned with gems of virtue. These simple cardboard crowns support this vision with the statement "I am a Noble Soul" and a list of eight child-oriented virtues: honest, polite, brave, happy, patient, helpful, loving and kind. They also say "Crown of Virtues, Courtesy of the Bahá'í Faith" in small letters.
Printed in metallic gold on white cardstock, they double as a craft project. Color them with markers or glue sparkles on the stars. Water-based markers won't stick to the gold, so you can use fat markers and wipe off the excess for a neat look.
Kids will love them, and parents will appreciate the opportunity to talk about the importance of each virtue. Priced to give away freely at fairs, schools, day-care, parties, and yes, MLK Day Celebrations!
