Bahai Alphabet Book

To put it bluntly, this is the best Bahá'í alphabet book available in English, and one of the best alphabet books you will find period. I say this because it works on so many different levels. Each letter focuses on a Bahá'í virtue, place or person and includes an appropriate picture and short quotation, THEN, on the next page, it adds another three or four interestingly juxtaposed words starting with that letter, and illustrated with an amusing picture. For example, "K is for kindness...'Be kind to all people, love humanity...' 'Abdu'l-Baha" (with a picture of one child comforting another), followed by "...and kangaroos, kittens, and kites," (with a picture of a kangaroo and kitten flying kites). This format allows you to focus on the letters, focus on the pictures, focus on the quotations, or talk about the relationship between them all, depending on the age (and mood) of your child.
