When this two-sided pamphlet was first released, it sold like crazy. People had dreams about it. Communities held deepenings around it. It changed the way people thought about presenting the Faith. Instead of telling seekers a bunch of facts and figures, it invited them to see the world through new eyes and gain the benefits of a Baha'i perspective.
"Nine Reasons Why You will want to join the Baha'is" shares the personal benefits of being a member of an open, diverse and loving community. "Nine Things you know when you are a Baha'i" shares the Baha'i principles as personal insights rather than external concepts.
This pamphlet is so intriguing that an award-winning Canadian author who is not even a Baha'i used it as the basis of a bittersweet short story about a woman who wished she could believe that she was loved by God.
The colors are not as bright and flashy as some of my newer pamphlets, but when the message is so bold, it doesn't hurt to have the graphics be more subtle.
